The pyramids of Giza
Last surviving wonder of the old world, magnificent in size and grandeur. There are three large pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, and some smaller ones around
The complex is quote large and is better to hire a taxi for the day covering Giza, Saqqara, Dahshur or go on a tour. We walked around but were quite exhausted by mid-day itself due to sun and heat. I wouldn’t recommend walking on hindsight. Other options include horse carts but wanted to avoid animal abuse

We did not enter the pyramids since there is nothing much inside and required a separate ticket. It was quite crowded making it difficult to go in and out. I would recommend entering the Red pyramid in Dahshur instead which is included in the ticket price
Entry fee was 540 LE/ $11
Pyramids of Dahshur and Saqqara
Pyramids of Giza are the more evolved ones with smooth surface, which the Egyptians perfected after many trials. You can see the older pyramids, at Dahshur and Saqqara
Dahshur complex has many pyramids including the red pyramid, the bent and black pyramids. The red pyramid is smooth, almost like the ones in Giza. It is also one of the easiest pyramids to enter into. My dad went fully into the pyramids while I came back mid way after feeling claustrophobic, quite hot and sweaty

Saqqara has step pyramid along with tomb of Djoser. The Saqqara complex is quite large with many tombs, small pyramids, Serapeum and other artefacts. We were short of time, so focused more on step pyramid which is itself worth a visit to the place

We hired a taxi outside Giza pyramids for half day tour at 800 LE
