Places to visit in Karnataka

The state of Karnataka is a true melting pot of cultures in India. With the tech boom of the 90’s, Bengaluru was one of the first places to host people from across the states in India. Karnataka has been multi cultural and multi lingual on its own with people speaking Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, Kodava which are quite different from each other. This diversity might have helped embrace other cultures more easily than defending the local identity, if you compare it to states like Tamil Nadu. Karnataka has something to offer for everyone. Places to visit in Karnataka include

  • Beaches- Karwar, Gokarna, Udupi, Padubidri, Mangalore and many more
  • Architecture- Hampi, Badami, Aihole, Pattadakal, Belur, Halebidu, Sravanabelagola
  • Nature- Jog falls, Gokak falls, Western Ghats
  • Wildlife- Bandipur, Nagarhole, Kabini
  • Hill stations- Coorg, Chikmagalur
  • Cities- Bengaluru, Mysuru, Dharwad, Mangalore

Authentic South Indian food also trace their origins here. Udupi is the cradle of Saathvik food cooked in temples. The cooks then moved to restaurants, even beyond Karnataka to create cheap and best “Udupi“ eateries all over India. While contested, Masala Dosa is believed to have come from here

Bengaluru is the tech hub. While digital savviness is pervasive like cashless payments, you can find less imagined ones like crypto trading among auto rickshaw drivers!

Each district of Karnataka needs 1-2 days to understand and absorb at the least. You can easily plan a months moving one place to other by road. We will share how to cover groups of places together. While most of these have not been visited all at once given we are based here, it reflects what is most practical to pull off for tourists visiting from outside the state
